SVRA Groups 6, 10 & 12 Race 1 Photos | 2026 Racing America at NJMP
Following Saturday’s practice and qualifying sessions, the combined SVRA Muscle Cars, Sedans & Sports Cars field returned to the 2.25-mile Thunderbolt Raceway for its first sprint race of the weekend. The race brought together more than five decades of sports-car, sedan and production-based racing machinery.
Group 6 represented the history of American big-bore road racing with the Chevrolet Corvette, Pontiac Firebird, Mercury Cougar, Camaro-type entry and Shelby Coupe. Group 10 introduced modern Trans-Am and GT4 competition through the Ford Mustang TA and Aston Martin Vantage GT4. Group 12 broadened the grid with the Datsun 240Z, Chevrolet Corvette Coupe, Plymouth Neon ACR, Ford Fiesta and Ford FP350S.
